there are monsters knocking at my door

I wrote this um October-ish last year, so ya there are a few parts i don't like but overall I thought it was pretty cool. enjoy :)


I promise I won't cry tonight daddy
You won't have to wipe away the shame strolling down my face
You won't hear the pill bottle shaking tonight daddy
You won't have to hug me until I crumble beneath your strong arms
while you try to hold the both of us together.
You won't tire your tongue telling me how much you love me and how it will be ok.
You won't have to guard my door to make sure the monsters stay away tonight daddy.
but tomorrow they'll all attack again and tomorrow I'll need you daddy.
